Baseball History
The baseball history covers the past and present chronicles of the baseball sport as times passed by. It was believed that the baseball history timeline ranges from 5th up to the 17th centuries. The history of baseball in the development of the baseball sport was never that clear. However, one clear origin history of baseball is that the sport was developed in the northern part of America. And up to this time the exact origin of the game is still undetermined.
Most of the researchers believed that the history of baseball origins came from various forms of similar games of different countries, which had been played throughout the centuries. Some say that Abner Doubleday was the one who invented the baseball sport. While others claimed that Alexander Cartwright was the one who invented the game. From these two different claims of baseball history origins, confusions were developed in the minds of the constituents of the baseball sport.
However, before the time of Abner Doubleday’s invention of baseball in the 18th century, there are evidences that early civilizations from the early centuries had begun playing the baseball game only of different name. The played game involves a stick and a ball. Among the civilizations of the early baseball history that evidently played the early form of baseball game are the Greeks, Persians, and Egyptians. These civilizations had played the early of form of baseball game for recreational events and particular ceremonies.

The history of the baseball bat covers the various shapes and sizes of baseball bats in the early days. During the period of 1850s, the baseball games are experimented with varieties of bats. As part of the baseball bat history, a rule was created in the year 1859 that a bat can be made bigger than the diameter of 2.5 inches. The history of aluminum baseball bats started in the 1800s whereas, however, various types of aluminum baseball bats were introduced during the early 1990s.
The longest baseball game in history was played by the Rochester Red Wings and the Pawtucket Red Sox on April 18, 1981. This event was also regarded as the longest Major League Baseball game in history. However, the longest played baseball game in history comprised of a 26 inning match up between the Brooklyn Dodgers and Boston Braves, which happened on May 1, 1920. At present time, a discussion on the official longest game in baseball history is still on going simply because of the two recorded events abovementioned.
